Lumley v Wagner [1852]

Mlle W contracted with Mr L to sing in his theatre,
and nowhere else.
She then agreed to sing at another theatre.
Court granted injunction to Mr L to restrain her from
signing at other theatre.
Did not amount to indirect specific performance of her
obligation to sing for Mr L.
Cannot force her to sing for Mr L, but can prevent her
singing for others.
