Incorporated Council for Law Reporting v Attorney-General [1972]

Sachs and Buckley LJJ held ICLR was charity under
education head, and if not charitable under that head, then under 4th
head.
Russell LJ held ICLR was valid charity under 4th
head only, but in any case court should make decision of whether the charity
carries out a purpose beneficial to public life from first principles rather
than by reference to 1601 Act.
