Evershed MR in Court of Appeal interpreted Milroy v Lord to effect that while equity cannot perfect a gift where donee has not done everything in law which he must do to transfer his title, it will give effect to intended transfer where donee has done everything he is obliged to do.
Until full legal transfer takes place, donor holds property as trustee for donee.
